Antarctica!!

2016 started out with a bang!  I was invited aboard OneOcean Expedition’s Akademic Sergey Vavilov as the Photographer in Resident as the ship cruised for a month through the Antarctic Peninsula and up to the Falkland Islands.  It was an amazing trip – hard to put into words! The best I can come up with is primordial and awe-inspiring!  Incredible to see first hand huge tabular icebergs, some over 2kms long and over three hundred feet high, slowly drifting north where they will eventually disappear into the ocean ~ amazing!  Penguins, whales and seals on your doorstep!

I will be doing a photo-presentation on my time in the Antarctic on March 15th at the Courtenay Museum, showcasing this incredible adventure of which I was so fortunate to be able to participate in!

Penguins, Penguins, and more Penguins, funny little critters, entertaining to photograph for hours on end!
